Additional information

Kentish Town, located in North London, between Camden and Hampstead, is an area full of surprises. Often underrated, and probably not served by the look of its High Street, it still has plenty to offer.

Students, professionals and families reside in the heart of the area, Kentish Town Road, where they find a mixture of supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, as well as some elegant pubs. For families, the nearby parks Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park, are a big selling point, given that they are all located less than 15 minutes away.

In the last few years, the area has changed a lot, becoming increasingly gentrified due to an influx of professionals attracted by the relatively low property prices (at the time) in comparison to more central areas. However, there are still a number of pockets of council estates, next to beautiful residential roads lined with trees and Victorian houses (see the photo).

In recent years, the area has become more expensive to both rent and buy.
